Dallas Parks Foundation hosts Free Youth Soccer Clinic

About three dozen young soccer players got a chance to polish their skills under the eye of retired Brazilian/American player Zequinha at a recent clinic hosted by the Dallas Parks Foundation and the Parks and Recreation Department.

“Coach Zee,” who played for Brazil in the World Cup before moving to the U.S., where he played for several teams, including Dallas, has experience developing young talent, most notably FC Dallas player Kellyn Acosta.

The free clinic, held March 10 at Crawford Memorial Park in Pleasant Grove, drew players from 8-14 years old, and was the first of several the Foundation and the Department plan to offer around the city during the coming months.

Contact Foundation executive director Samuel Stiles at 972-803-1555 or the Parks and Recreation department at 214-670-8885 for further information.
